Models Own Beetlejuice Nail Polish Swatches

Beauty

When I saw the promo photos for the owner Beetlejuice collection of models, I knew it was love, and I knew I had to have these nail polishes. I'm a sucker for glitter, holographic and two-tone polished and this range seemed to tick all the boxes, so I waited patiently for the 1 November (when the children were released) and bought everything, plus a 3-in-1 top coat to -20 pounds.

Judging from the picture above, they all look great in the bottle. I'll give you the samples and then read ahead of 'what I really think.'

Emerald Black

3

I thought I'd like this color because it reminded me of the shell of a beetle and because I love shiny dark green, but in real life it looks really plain and boring – as in the sample under sunlight. The only time I've seen sparkle and shine as in the 'flash', is when there is literally a flash of light.

I think this is a nice touch to the typical black nail, although it would not really wear it to show green, because I do not think that looks green at all.

Aqua Violet

6 This glaze is gorgeous, but I do not think it suits me personally.

This shines the most beautiful blue on the nails and then turns purple in certain positions (I tried to capture this in the photo 'sunshine' below!)

The formula for this polish is almost identical to the green shiny gold (at the bottom of the post) – it's easy to level and takes 2-3 coats to look perfect.

5

Pinky Brown

8 I think this is my favorite out of the group because it has the most noticeable change in the color and because it has glitter in it (bi-color & glitter = perfect!)

This polish needs two hands and occurs mainly a purple pinkie, but it shines a rusty orange hue in the light. This color reminds me of autumn leaves, so I can see myself wearing this in the top right until Christmas.

The photo 'sunshine' at the bottom is the best nail polish looks like this IRL.

Violet Blue

10th Violet Blue has the same consistency as Pinky Brown – two-color glitter gloss, which is applied as a purple and becomes a dark blue in the sun.

I really like what the plot of treasures adds to that and Pinky Brown – actually resemble shells beetles!

9

Golden Green

11th This is my least favorite, it looks really bad on my nails!

I think this is just green paint nail files I have and now I know why I never bought one before. This has a subtle golden highlights running through it and is the same formula and consistency of Aqua Violet.

What I think –

I'm really sad to admit that I'm not particularly impressed with this collection! If I could go back in time I would have purchased only maybe 3 of them (Pinky Brown, Purple Blue and maybe Aqua Violet) and I can not believe I spent £ -20 about them (technically I only spent £ -4 for them, -16 pounds because I had in my PayPal account to sell on eBay, but still … -)!

Each glaze is -5 pounds, but their models have a few discounts if you buy a certain amount – 3 polishes £ -12, -18 or 5 for £ 5 plus 3-in-1 finish for £ -20.

I have too many nail polishes and I know that I would never, ever wear green and gold, so why I did cave and buy the whole collection?

I also have a little 'wish that their models had appeared a little' non-sparkling glitter in those, I think Aqua Violet & emerald green would be amazing if they glow in them!

Will you be buying any of the collection Beetle Juice? What is your favorite?
